About These Card Lessons

Card lessons selected from Harlan Tarbell’s original correspondence course of the 1920s. The original lesson numbers are retained, so gaps in the numbering are intentional.

Begin with Lesson 9 for the basic principles. Lessons 12–19 explore classic effects, palming, shifts, productions and rising cards. Lessons 34–36 develop impromptu card magic and sleight of hand. Additional selections bring together card effects from mixed-topic lessons.

The illustrations are preserved from the source transcription. Lesson 13 includes its original review of earlier material. These extracts are from the original correspondence course; the later revised hardcover course uses different lesson numbers.
